A Mothers Love

Real moms love different than dads; they do it with only one intent. I will raise you in my house to be a good person and I will protect you out side of this home with complete bias.

A mom will see their child get slighted or at least what they deem slighted and with total disregard to the place or time will stand up and inform the offender exactly how wrong they are and exactly how far they are about to insert their foot.

Moms will argue with dads who are about to bust their kids butt for a misguided adventure to the point that dad knows ok maybe I wont beat them just warn them sternly that they are lucky to have a “MOM”

Moms know just the right moment to hold their babies and not say a word. They know when to correct them and most importantly when to nag them to the point that my ears hurt.

Moms know other moms when they see each other and they have a secret connection and with just a look they communicate a thousand words of unspoken love, respect and heart ace.

The most impressive part of my trip to Africa was the ability to see the animals in the wild and how the animal family units work dads hunting and protecting but moms right there around the cubs with a look of “go ahead just try and mess with my baby”

If you have a mom that loves or loved you it is awesome but if you pick a wife that sees herself with a single purpose in life and that is to love your children then you have managed to get the right girl.

Clothes make the man

If clothes make the man that would make me a soft, sloppy, old, nostalgic and potty mouth yeah that’s about right.

We have an older neighbor next to our Florida home that has never smiled at us yet alone spoke a word until yesterday morning when after a light run I ran right up on him and he decided this was the time to make nice so without thinking of anything other than cool I went into a twenty minuet conversation with him and two other new neighbors that joined in. Keep in mind we live in a upscale golf / country club community there which truth be told does not stop me from being me and in true Mark fashion I walked in the house and Nancy said I seen you speaking with the neighbors I responded with a proud yes and to my surprise she said “wearing that T Shirt?” I looked down at it and noticed that it was one of my all time rotten ones I won’t go into detail but let’s just say it’s a “Shocker”

Today while at a job I was a little chilled and slipped on my favorite hoodie that just happens to be 21 years old and it reminds me of Kait when at that time she was about three years old at Disney World –place and time of purchase- she was pointing to the Castle and telling me dad that is where Cinderella lives.

You see clothes do make the man even those of us who are a little conflicted at times.

Karma

The Occupy crew that’s main argument is share the wealth are now complaining that while camping out in the streets that they are being stolen from. Uhm let me get this right you want the government to take from other people with out their consent and give the money to others, but when someone takes from you and shares your item that is a problem?

Also next time you see these little rich kids sitting in the streets make a mental note of all the Starbucks cups and I phones you see in the picture. Occupy is protesting corporate greed Uhm guys these may be two of the biggest corporate company’s ever. So dear little rich boy hippie wanna be check your shit at the door before you protest.

Life's good

Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind.
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind.

I have no clue what these lyrics mean but on 10-12-2011 they seem to mean this to me:

Jasmine in my mind:
Breakfast for dinner, in love with my wife, my kids are absolutely awesome, Kait stops by for a visit and leaves me with a kiss, Hank is coming home to play golf with his dad, Jake is driving now and doing great and his band is rocking, my pants are so tight from over eating, my dog makes me laugh, I had a romantic night with my wife over a glass of wine and a hamburger, my job is cranking right now, the weather is perfect, Halloween is just around the corner, good music playing in the back ground, I am full of hope for my country my family my life, It's good to be me…Thank You

I think I am still free but is anyone paying attention?

Troy Davis was executed September 21st 2011 and people made a big push that it was a wrongful execution because there was no DNA evidence against him.

Over the weekend Anwar al-Awalki was hunted down and killed by a Drone Plane and this country including my small government and far right friends all celebrated.

My questions to you my friends have you lost your minds??? Like it or not Anwar was an American citizen! He was born here and the government knows this YES Anwar is a guilty evil son of a bitch that I am glad is gone and out of the picture. But here lies the problem: Nothing, absolutely nothing, in the constitution gives the president the right to kill an American citizen without due process. He gets the same rights to due process as all of us.

The Obama and Bush administrations should have started the legal process to indict him. Neither administration did this. The Obama group started to but it never went beyond that point. There were plenty of videos of the man declaring his desire to kill Americans and commit terrorist’s acts against us so why didn’t they start the process?

Why do I care about this scum bag I DO NOT but I DO CARE ABOUT THE CONSTITUION! If you were one who thought that this murder was justified let me ask you what justifies our big government’s appetite next time. Let’s say they decide T Partiers are terrorist, or Christians, or Boy Scouts or who ever they decide to just terminate!

The Patriot Act was left in place; Indiana recently passed a law so that police officers can come into your home with out a warrant.

Karl Marx wrote Socialism and years later said that Socialism was simply a way to move countries to Communism. Wake up quit watching the whole Democrats are bad and Republicans are bad show they are all on the same team guys.

Sinners Like Me

Eric Church has become one of my favorite singers now and it is because of lyrics like these from just seven of his songs he just seems to get it!

I wear a greasy ball cap
I like my shirt untucked
I spend Saturdays working on my truck
I don't like to fight
But I ain't scared to bleed
Most don't mess with a guy like me
Guys like me drink to many beers on Friday after work
Our best blue jeans have skoal rings
We wear our boots to church
So rough around the edges
It's hard to believe that girls like you
Love guys like me
_______________________________________________

She's as pretty as a picture
every bit as funny as she is smart
got a smile that'll hold you together
and a touch that'll tear you apart

______________________________________________

Ain't no shame in a blue collar forty
little house, little kids, little small town story

______________________________________________

I know where I come from:
How 'bout you?
I don't need baggy clothes,
Or rings in my nose to be cool.
The scars on my knuckles,
Match these scuffs on these cowboy boots.
An' there's a whole lot more like me:
How 'bout you?

Yeah, I wish Uncle Sam would give a damn,
About the man who's collar's blue.
But if he don't, hell, I'll make it on my own:
How 'bout you?

I still say: "Yes, Ma'am" to my Momma:
How 'bout you?
If I shake your hand, look you in the eye,
You can bet your ass, it'll be the truth.
I cover my heart with my hat,
When they fly that Red, White and Blue,
Just like my Daddy taught me:
How 'bout you?

I love sleeping in on Saturdays
And I love college football games
I love not acting my age
And good barbeque

Yeah I'm a fan of all the books
And anything my mama cooks
Smallmouth bass have got me hooked
On Sunday afternoon
Yes I love good cold beer
I love a good loud honky tonk
That rocks on Friday night

And hell yes I love my truck
But I want you to know
Honey I love your love the most
_______________________________________________

I was fifteen when my daddy's old man
Caught me half way through my first beer
He laughed so hard when my face turned green
He said, ?You come from a long line of sinners like me?
On the day I die, I know where I'm gonna go
Me and Jesus got that part worked out
I'll wait at the gates 'til his face I see
And stand in a long line of sinners like me

Turn the quiet up, turn the noise down
Let this ol' world just spin around
I wanna feel it swing, wanna feel it sway
And put some feel good in my soul

Drink a little drink, smoke a little smoke

Want a little more right and a little less left
Little more right now, a little less what's next
Act like tomorrow's ten years away
And just kick back and let the feelin' flow
