I tend to exaggerate just a bit

Nancy never asks me to shop mainly because I won’t but I am offered no reprieve when it comes to Sams Club because she can not lift most of the items there. We have at any given time six to eight people at my home and mainly big boys so Sams is a necessary evil but let’s get real for a moment.

Do we need eight hundred pounds of onion, four hundred and fifty pounds of butter? You can not buy lunch meat there because the Colts could not possibly eat that many sandwiches before the meat turns slimy. But I refuse to shop at Sams Club and then turn around and go to the grocery store. So yes nine hundred eggs seems very reasonable to me.

We do have two dogs a Bull Dog and a hundred and five pound mutt, but even they looked at me funny when the fork lift lowered a twelve hundred pound bag of dog food in my trunk.

Now I do see a need for a ten pack of Oreos and a twenty four pack of Snickers ice cream bars. Matter of fact why only twenty four? I can eat that many in one setting. I am calling Sam tonight that is a crock he needs to try a little harder on the important stuff I.E. sweets!

Now at the pharmacy they have a huge tub of that new KY massage oil and as I am standing in the isle reading it out load to everyone Nancy just yelled Hell No! I will need to discuss this with her after I reach Sam tonight on the phone shit just isn’t going my way so far.

Oh now it is better the cashier just informed me we saved twelve hundred dollars on our five thousand dollar bill. Awesome!

24 years of experience

It wont always be a Honey Moon don’t expect it to be, walk away when you are so mad you are about to say something stupid, don’t keep score, forgive, make love often, don’t go to bed mad maybe mad but at least give them a kiss and say I love you, say I Love You often, take a walk with your spouse, hold their hand, pinch their butt, trust can never be broken and you must have it, give each other space, snuggle up close, look in their eyes with love in yours, respect is a two way street go down both sides, pray to your God for help and support, money problems are a fact of life discuss them all always with each other, in bad times remember the good times, remember why you fell in love and never ever forget it, go to things they like that you don’t now and then and try to get it, let them enjoy their friends even the ones you don’t like, trust them to go out because you are going to want to go out, cook together, be a team and still keep your identity, learn to bend, give for no reason, your partner comes before anyone else, work at your marriage it is alive and needs tending.

Love you, Do

Baby girl gets married Saturday I wont give her away she is still going to be my baby girl. I will walk her down the isle and let a very good man that I love also take her hand and walk her through the world from here. I just might come around from time to time though and hang out.

I was told I can’t cry when I walk her down the isle, YES I CAN and I WILL.

There will be people there that raised me and people there that I helped raise.

There will be friends there that took my car keys away from time to time and there will be Kaits friends there that I have removed keys from at one time or another.

We will laugh, eat, drink, dance and celebrate till we crawl into our rooms happy from partying with family and friends all in one place for a celebration, not something sad, this family needs that but I will still cry.

CORDOBA

The building was begun in approximately AD 600 as the Christian Visigothic church of St. Vincent. After the Islamic conquest of the Visigothic kingdom the Emir Abd ar-Rahman I bought the church. Abd ar-Rahman I and his descendants reworked it over two centuries to refashion it as a mosque, starting in 784. Additionally, Abd ar-Rahman I used the mosque as an adjunct to his palace and named it to honor his wife. Several explanations have been proposed to explain the mosque's unorthodox orientation. Traditionally, the mihrab of a mosque faces in the direction of Mecca; by facing the mihrab, worshipers pray towards Mecca. Mecca is east-southeast of the mosque, but the mihrab points south. Some have suggested the mihrab faces south because the foundations of the mosque were taken from the old Roman and Visigoth constructions. Others contend that Abd ar-Rahman oriented the mihrab southward as if he were still in the Ummayyad capital of Damascus and not in exile.

The city in which it was built was subject to frequent invasion and each conquering wave added their own mark to the architecture. The building is most notable for its giant arches, with 856 columns of jasper, onyx, marble and granite. These were made from pieces of the Roman temple which had occupied the site previously, as well as other destroyed Roman buildings.

Why the building history lesson you ask? Because all of you know the controversy over the proposed mosque at ground zero in NY, but what our fine media has neglected to tell you is the name of the proposed mosque yes you guessed it “Cordoba!” Please tell me you see the obvious and it is not just me and my conspiracy way of thinking. Islam attacked a Christian nation won the war and renamed the cathedral Cordoba anybody getting it yet? No just I must be, because I promise no news source is reporting the above story. We wouldn’t want to offend anyone LIKE OUR FALLEN HEROS!

Cordoba really? Why don’t they just name it “The Dumb Ass American’s Mosque?” It seems more appropriate. By the way did you know that there is a Greek Orthodox Church that was already near ground zero at the time of 911 and was damaged due to the attack is currently being denied the right to rebuild. NICE.

Ole Mac Donald

Vegetables that you grow in your own garden seem to taste better. My family just finished a dinner that included squash and zucchini from my first harvest of the year. They were awesome and watching my son scrape the pan for the last of the vegetables was really cool!

I have managed to grow tomatoes, squash, zucchini, bell peppers and cayenne peppers.

I believe next year the garden may grow into a small field but I am not sure yet, I have lots of critters here to consider including deer and raccoon.

WTF

Two years ago we had one war going on and all of the press was busting Bush’s ass about it, they even went to court to be allowed to show pictures of fallen soldiers coming home in caskets. Today we have two wars going on and more men coming home in caskets then ever before yet has anyone seen these pictures the press just had to have? Do you even hear a story about what is going on in Afghanistan??

Two years ago unemployment was at seven something; today upper nines, any stories lately???

Two years ago you could get an unemployment check for a few months now you can have one for NINETY NINE WEEKS!!!! That is welfare folks not unemployment.

Starting this January the largest tax increase in the history of America will take place on everyone not just those making over two hundred thousand.

The federal government is suing Arizona for enforcing laws that are federal laws that the federal government is not enforcing “HOLY BAT SNOT BATMAN”

States are suing the federal government because the country I love is now going to force people to buy a product IE health insurance yeah I don’t see any resemblance to Communism there but then again I am stupid just ask the media.

The National Debt has continued to increase an average of $4.13 billion per day since September 28, 2007!!!!!

So what is the media reporting today? “Oh my” they are concerned with how much Mrs. Obama’s vacation is costing. Let me file that under my things I am really concerned about list……

This Blog is not about politics folks it is about what ever happened to real journalism when it did not matter who was in office but the difference between right and wrong. What I would give to hear an unbiased report: not Fox hating on Democrats or MSN making sure we all know it is national save the planet day but one real honest F’n news story!
